About

The Wandering Spirit is a soul of a deceased and as such, can be a little different to interact with.

  • Cannot be seen through standard eyesight and senses. The Spirit's proximity can lower the temperature in the air however, which can be noticed by all.

  • Can be seen via aethersight. However, unlike a living person, the Wandering Spirit is seen as barely more than an outline of loosely connected aether. Just barely enough for a subconscious to be realized.

  • Can be detected via aethersense. This will feel similar to standing next to a dying or recently deceased individual.

  • Speaking to the Wandering Spirit is a bit more difficult. Those with aethersight can see the gestures that they make. Those with an aethersense can hear incomplete thoughts or short phrases. Those talented with the Echo can freely speak to the Wandering Spirit.

  • Though not malicious, it is possible to exorcise the Wandering Spirit. They may return, they may not.

OOC

  • The character is dead and not physical. ERP is quite impossible. While I'm sure some of you will try to find a way, no.

  • If you want my character to come over and haunt you, do not be afraid to send me a tell!

  • I primarily have the Wandering Spirit /tell to people, but if you want the maximum 'look crazy' experience, feel free to have your character remain speaking and emoting publicly!

  • When RPing with multiple characters that can hear the Wandering Spirit, I prefer to make parties so I can use Party Chat to speak with all those that can hear. That way all of you can look crazy and talk to the air!

  • I am fairly lax on the methods used to communicate with the Wandering Spirit. The methods above are not the only ways to see or communicate with her. Just let me know your plan beforehand and I'll probably run with it.

  • I am not looking for the Wandering Spirit to regain any semblance of physical form. Your character is welcome to try if it is within their character to do so, just be aware any progress is going to be small or nothing.

  • I am also not looking for my character to become deader than she already is. So no sudden attempts to obliterate her aether or send her to the lifestream without my consent.
